Our beginning equipment kit is designed to work with frozen grapes or grape juice from Brehm Vineyards. For over 20 years Peter Brehm has been making World Class grape musts* and juices available to home winemakers. Working with fruit from Brehm Vineyards you can be sure of one thing - you are working with the very best raw materials commercially available to home winemakers. Brehm's musts and juices are frozen immediately after harvest, and shipped in special insulated packaging developed by MoreWine!. Frozen musts and juices yield wines with every bit as much depth and character as fresh fruit, and represent a notable step up in quality from the concentrate kits that most winemakers start out working with.

*Note - In winemaking, crushed grapes which are still mixed with the skins, seeds and juice are referred to as must. Brehm's red grape varieties are shipped as must because the color in a red wine comes from the juice being fermented in contact with the skins of the grapes.

This kit contains all the equipment you need to get started making wine right away, as well as handy, step-by-step instructions for how to use everything. You simply need to choose a red must or white juice from the line of Brehm Vineyards products we have for sale and you'll be ready to go. This kit is designed to make 5-6 gallons of wine, or about 2 cases worth. To make 5-6 gallons of wine, you'll need to order either 2 pails of red must or 1 pail of white juice. It is not recommended that you produce less wine than the equipment is intended for, as it will be difficult to keep the wine from spoiling during the aging process. You will also need to save or purchase 2 cases worth of standard 750mL wine bottles, but you'll have plenty of time to get that sorted out while the wine is aging.
