Description

Used to safely apply heat shrink capsules, also called thermoscapsules, onto wine bottles using a 110v electric element.  Place your heat shink on the bottle and completely push down. Slide the bottle up the channel until the bottle hits the end. Immediately remove bottle. Very fast and a safer hands off approach than using hot water or a hand held shrink gun. Completely made of stainless steel which is very nice for longevity.  Stainless won't rust with repeated use and is easy to clean, ensuring that your label does not get dirty while apply heat shrink.

  • Comes with instructions
  • Tray adjusts up & down
  • Stainless Steel body construction for durability
  • 110v 8A electric element
  • on/off switch

Bought one like it and it lasted a year and a half, worked better then some of the 1,000 dollar ones.

Wish it had a heat control
The tool works great but it is more of an art. After a few tries I figured out holding the capsule with your finger while inserting the bottle in the chamber helps. It takes all of 2-3 sec. for the seal. It does over heat a lot and really wish it came with a heat regulator (it is not a rocket science). Make sure the top of the cap does not reach the back plate. A very handy tool.

Captule Heat Shrinker
This has been a great product so far. We have ran about 4000 bottles through it with no complaints.

Stop gets too hot.
Overall, this heat shrinker works pretty well. I like it because it is so much quieter than the air gun with the fan. The only problem is that the bottle stop gets too hot. If we slide the bottle all the way to the stop it melts the top of the capsule.

Our initial thought was that it was a waste on money. We had trouble with the foils rising up off the bottle and sealing with a space at the top so we watched a couple Utube videos which helped but still not happy with the results so we would cut off and try another foil. We did get the hang of it and realized it is a "technique" that you have to acquire. Once you have the timing down this thing is the next best thing since sliced bread!!
IMHO it would be nice if there was a temperature setting dial so the coil could be turned down a bit so you don't HAVE TO be so fast in and out with the bottle.
Bottom line: It's a must have and worth every penny for anyone that bottles more than once a month

Works Beautifully!
Was hesitant to buy a $200+ piece of gear whose function can be performed well-enough with a pot of boiling water, BUT this thing gives you consistent, professional looking capsules EVERY time. A slight learning curve on how far to push the neck of the bottle in*, but once you get it down you'll notice the difference between bottles encapsulated with this device and those done in boiling water. A much tighter, uniform fit, just like a commercial winery. [*The instructions say to push the bottle all the way in to the metal stop at the top of the heating coil, but I found when you do this the 'stop' melts the capsule slightly. Eyeball the insertion and only insert till the open edge of the capsule shrinks and then remove the bottle... perfect every time!]
