SaniClean is the low-foam version of Star San. With a contact time of 2-3 minutes it is not as fast as Star San, but works as well. You also have to use twice as much, 2 oz per 5 gallons, for the same effect. However if you are sanitizing a pump, filter, doing a CIP cleaning or simply need a final acid rinse, SaniClean is the right choice. SaniClean is also known as an effective flavor and odor removal solution. Made by the same company that makes Star San and PBW and packaged in the same easy to use container as the 32 oz Star San.
SaniClean is easy on the environment as well: Despite being a very effective acid-based sanitizer at its prescribed concentration, raising the pH well above 3.5 (using simple baking soda or any waste PBW) renders SaniClean inactive as a sanitizer and the raw ingredients actually feed the aerobic bacteria found in septic systems or wastewater treatment facilities!
To Use:
Use 2 oz per 5 gallons of water and allow a contact time of 2 minutes.
