Description

Includes 4oz each of 4.00 and 7.00 buffers. We package these solutions from bulk quantities to get you the best pricing. For testing, pour buffers into a small glass. You do not want to stick the probe of the pH meter into the buffer jars directly because you will eventually sacrifice the accuracy of your buffers.
Expires after 6 months if unopened. Expires after 3 months if opened.

My pH meter requires 4.01 and 7.01 buffers to calibrate. Will these 4.00 and 7.00 buffers cause inaccurate calibration? In other words, are 4.00 and 4.01 buffers generally interchangeable?

BEST ANSWER: You will be fine, there is most likely an acceptable range that is +/- 0.5 for the buffers anyway. You are essentially telling the pH monitor what 4.0 and 7.0 are, so if you were really concerned you could just subtract 0.01 from the readings. But again in most cases you'll be just fine!
