Nomacorc brand extruded style synthetic corks offer all the risk free protection of a traditional synthetic cork with an internal structure that closely resembles a natural cork. Like natural cork, Nomacorcs will facilitate a wine's development by allowing a very minimal and regulated amount of oxygen to help mature the wine. With that said, unlike a natural cork, oxygen continues its controlled transfer throughout the life of the cork which does not make them ideal for a wine you plan to age for longer than 3 years. Use our higher grades (3,2,1) natural corks for your longer aging wines.
Nomacorcs are extruded from a dense foam-like material with an outer skin that has a cork like appearance. Nomacorc are more pliable and easier to insert and remove when compared to traditional synthetic corks. Their hallmark is a consistently perfect closure every time with no risks of TCA "cork" taint.
#9 cork, 1 1/2" long.
Please Note: This cork is best suited for use with a floor corker and is difficult to insert with a hand corker
