Volatile Acidity Test Kit MT160
MoreWine!'s Volatile Acidity Test Kit offers professional quality wine monitoring in a fast, easy to use apparatus that does not require the use or understanding of enzymatic methods and requires relatively inexpensive equipment.
The RD80 Volatile Acidity Still, the centerpiece of MoreWine!'s VA Test Kit, is a locally produced, highly specialized, hand blown work of art. This modern twist on the Cash VA Still allows for easy sample administration, and via a brilliant little venturi loop in the condenser line allows for fast and effective sample removal without the loss of the water in the boiling chamber. This means that the water stays hot and boiling of the subsequent sample is super fast, as well as cutting down on your water usage! The built in heating element is fast, effecient and available in 110 or 220V configurations. There is no extra charge for 220V.
Volatile Acidity determination is essential to the serious winemaker as a method of monitoring the health of his wine during the aging phase and as an early waning indicator of issues to come. Volatile Acidity reporting is also a legal requirement for commercial wine facilities and the MoreWine! VA Test Kit conforms with the TTB requirements for VA determination and is the same method used in wineries and commercial wine labs all over the country. Have professional quality testing capabilities at your fingertips!.
Unlike many of our competitors, MoreWine! believes strongly in getting you working right out of the box. This kit is designed to do just that. The kit includes the RD80 Volatile Acidity Still and Graham condenser; ring stand and clamps to hold the still in place; and all the extra hardware, small pieces, reagents and detailed instructions you need to run your first wine right out of the box.
The system is designed to allow you to run hoses of any length for the condenser so that the still can be as far from a sink as is necessary. The condenser hoses are set up with Quick Disconnects for easy storage and draining of the condenser itself. The kit even includes an adapter for the sink you are using as a source for the condenser. You will need to specify the number of feet of condenser tubing you wish to purchase along with the kit.
