Using specially formulated media that only reacts with Brett, this kit is an easy method of testing for the presence of Brettanomyces in your wine or beer. Using freshly drawn samples, dip the sterile cotton swabs into the test sample and streak out on one of the included 18 plates. Incubate the plate at 78-85F for 6-7 days. Visually match any Brett colonies produced to the included photos. Kit comes with enough swabs and plates for 18 tests. Store kit in your refrigerator to extend the shelf life of the plates for up to one year.
