Convert a commercial sanke keg to be used with ball lock fittings. To install, remove the keg spear, place the gasket on the keg ferrule with the beaded side facing up, attach the silicone dip tube and place the tapping head on the ferrule, then secure with the 2" tri-clamp.

Be sure to always depressurize the keg before removing the tapping head.

Includes:

  • Ball Lock Post Lid
  • 2" tri-clamp
  • Single-side beaded tri-clamp gasket
  • 60 cm silicone dip tube (23.6")
  • Red 2.5 bar PRV (36 psi)

Can the two posts and the PRV all be swapped around to different positions? Are they all attached with the same thread size?

BEST ANSWER: Unfortunately not. The threading for all of the pieces is different and not interchangeable.
How does the plastic dip hose connect? Can it be replaced with a corny-style stainless dip tube?

BEST ANSWER: The plastic hose connects to the bottom of the cap with a hose barb fitting. It would be possible to adapt it to use a steel dip tube if you use a small amount of tubing to couple from the barb to the stainless dip tube. You may also need to cut your dip tube a little short to fit perfectly.

One of those hmm... finds
It works, I couldn't have easily fabricated it's equivalent , the pickup tube seemed small but it works too. No clog.

Since adapting corny kegs my sankes have been collecting dust. This thing saved the serving career of a plastic pubkeg. They're fragile finicky things come cleaning time. Now it's modified, together and will stay that way and get used.
