These racks are stable up to 6 racks high.

*Please note that this is a custom manufactured product in small volumes, which is why it is only slightly less expensive than the double rack or the 60 gal size single rack.

How do they Stack?

BEST ANSWER: These racks are not designed to stack. I prefer that my barrels are NOT stacked. The wine needs to be checked weekly, which means sniffing it and topping the wine. These two activities are difficult when the barrels are stacked. The temperature is also cooler next to the concrete floor than at elevation.

Solid, well built and properly designed

Design and construction of this rack is well done, solidly built and nicely designed to fit the barrel taper. I have also used this 30 gal. rack for my 15 gal. barrels with no problem. Paint is also well done. My only complaint is that they apparently spend zero time cleaning up welds, there is obvious welding slag left on the frames and then nicely painted over. Some slag also rattles around inside the tubing. For the low price and solidness of construction, I think that is a fair trade off.
