Description

Start making great wine at home with a small investment in some quality equipment. This inexpensive MoreWine! starter package includes all the equipment you will need to begin making wine from our grape concentrate kits.


These kits are designed to make 23 liters of wine, or about 6 gallons. Primary fermentation will take place in the included 7.9 gallon bucket. After the primary fermentation is complete you will transfer the wine into the included 6 gallon carboy leaving behind the sediment from fermentation.

We have included all the necessary cleaning and testing equipment. Also included are 25 corks and a corker for bottling and corking your own wine. You will need to purchase a wine concentrate kit from our extensive selection. You will also need to save or buy approximately 24 750ml wine bottles (2 cases).

  • 6 gallon plastic carboy for aging
  • Airlock and stopper
  • 3/8 Siphon assembly
  • Bottle brush
  • Sample taker/thief – 3 piece
  • Triple scale hydrometer with testing jar
  • Bottle filler with removable spring
  • Double Lever corker
  • 25 Corks - 1 3/4 in. Agglomerated 1+1
  • PBW cleaner
  • Star San sanitizer

Kit almost has everything you need. Here are my negatives. 1.) The corks cannot be used with a hand corker. (It reads that on the label); 2.) Kit should include a degasser tool that can be used with hand drill. If not for these things. I'd give it the fifth star.

Corks Don't Fit
I bought this kit to make wine from graped on my property. It includes all the basics to get started although, like any hobby, I ended up buy many more items from More Wine to make the product I wanted. My biggest issue was that when it came time to bottle my wine, the corks that were sent were too big for the bottle. It says right on the bag " These corks are not to be used with a hand corker" and a hand corker is what is supplied in the kit. Really a drag that when you are ready to bottle that the corks cannot be used with the hand corker. Fortunately, I had purchased some plastic corks for making champagne and was able to use these.

Great purchase for beginners
For all beginners, I highly recommend purchasing this basic kit. It includes all the equipment you will need for your initial wine kit--minus the bottles (which I recommend acquiring from your local winery--they will happily give them to you BUT be sure to clean and sanitize them prior to use). After purchasing this bundle and using it a couple times, if you continue to make wine at home, you will no doubt expand your equipment inventory and MoreBeer, MoreWine is THE place to go for this! Their customer service is excellent and they have not yet failed me.
