Description

The BlowTie 2 Spunding Valve complete kit is used to release excess pressure on a pressurized fermenter or from a keg while doing pressure transfers. Thanks to the large surface area of the diaphragm, this style spunding valve is much more accurate than the poppet style. The blow off pressure can be easily set using the BlowTie's integrated pressure gauge. The kit includes everything you'll need to use the spunding valve right out of the bag.

Kit Includes:

  • BlowTie 2 w/ Integrated Pressure Gauge (0-15 psi)
  • Ball Lock Disconnect
  • Duotight Flare Fitting
  • 8 mm OD Rigid Plastic Joiner

Is there a pin lock version?

BEST ANSWER: The Duotight Flare fitting is easily transferred to a pinlock fitting. It will fit on all standard 1/4" flare fittings in your toolbox.

works but knob feels loose below ~2 psi
Using this for air-less transfer from fermenter to keg and feels like the adjustment knob is hanging on by a few threads at these low PSIs. Not a functional issue but does lack adjustability at this low pressure.

Only goes to 15 psi
Appears well built but I'm going to return this and get a different one. For primary fermentation, 10-15 psi might be fine. But if you want to naturally carbonate in the keg, I've read that it needs to be more like 20 psi so that when the beer cools, the pressure will come down to typical serving pressure.
