Description

The BrewKeg50 is a 13.2-gallon (50 L) capacity stainless steel, conical pressure fermenter with sediment removal and an easy to use lid with pressure relief valve. Suitable for batch sizes of up to 13.2 gallons, the BrewKeg50 is suitable for all-grain and extract brewers who want to experience the magic results of pressure fermentation.

Ferment under pressure and serve 13.2 gallons of beer from the same vessel without ever transferring! The BrewKeg from WilliamsWarn is a unitank that allows you to ferment, carbonate and serve all in one vessel, saving you money on other equipment.

The BrewKeg lets you ferment up to 13.2 gallons of wort at up to 25 PSI. The tank itself has a total volume of 15.8 gal, giving it the perfect amount of headspace to produce 13.2 gallons of finished beer. Fermenting under pressure reduces esters allowing your beer to ferment at higher and more varied temperatures. Fermenting under pressure also produces clearer beer! The fermenter also includes a yeast collection ball so you can remove yeast and trub without having to rack to a separate vessel. The BrewKegs all stainless steel construction and conical bottom make it perfect for extract, partial extract, and all-grain brewers.

Almost perfect
If you are trying to decide if you need this, you do. I have done a lager that my friends all swear had to have taken months of cold fermentation. It was done in 14 days at room temps in a single vessel with no need to transfer to a secondary fermentation vessel. Be sure to get the pressure transfer kit as well. It is the easiest and cleanest way to get your beer in to a keg. Best of all, it is already carbonated and only needs to be chilled. If there is a weak point in this system, it is the collection ball. There is a plastic spider basket in it. It's purpose is to breakup the trube and yeast that has settled out so it can be forced through the little 1/4" tube. The idea is that you agitate the spider basket then the pressure forces it out the tube. I can't tell if this works or not. Every time I have tried it, the spider basket pops off and is worthless. There is also a thin O ring that seals the two halves of the ball. I hope that there are replacements available. I can see this wearing out and being a potential for bad leakage. Especially while it is under pressure. I would much rather have a one piece collection ball. I look forward to being to get one as a future accessory upgrade. Overall, it is an excellent, well made product that I am very happy with and highly recommend.
