Good for color without altering flavor at 2% of grain Bill.
I use this malt to adjust the color of my beers. Has little flavor impact if less than 2%.

Best black malt for Black IPA
I used the Blackprinz malt in a Black IPA. The original recipe called for Carafa III, but the Blackprinz worked out nicely. No astringency that I usually associate with very dark malts. No burnt taste or off-flavors. Nice, dark, black color.

Not harsh or astringent.
I use this for color in my dark beers.

Nice specialty malt.
Used in a Black IPA All Grain and it contributed nicely to the flavor. Not over-the-top dark malt flavor but a light coffee/caramel flavor. Very nice, I will definitely use this malt again.
