Liquid Malt Extract (LME) vs. Dried Malt Extract (DME)
MoreBeer! recipe kits are offered in both Liquid Malt Extract and Dry Malt Extract so that our customers can choose the format that best suits their needs and brewing style. LME is a viscous liquid, similar in consistency to maple syrup. In addition to being the more affordable option, many brewers find LME easier to handle than dry extract. DME is more condensed and comes in a powder format that is similar to baking flour. Although it’s a little more costly, DME is naturally lighter in color and stays fresher for longer. We highly recommend DME when brewing light colored beers.

Best beer on More Beer
This is a great drinkable beer. Foundation brew for me, I just keep coming back to it. I highly recommend buying the liquid yeast over dry. Great beginner beer, will not disappoint.

Good day to day beer.
I sometimes throw in a lb of golden raisins to sour it up a bit. Tasty! (I put them in a grain bag as I do not rack and they otherwise stop up the valve.)

A Really Great Beer
I brewed this beer 6 weeks before my sons first communion and daughters 3rd birthday. I made a yeast starter with White labs San Francisco Lager yeast. It was an exiting fermentation at around 60+ degrees, clogging airlocks and blowing the stoppers. It sat in the primary for two weeks, secondary for two weeks, and then sat kegged in a 78 degree closet for two weeks. It was a huge hit and did not survive the function. Today, my wife asked for me to brew this again! Can't argue with the Law!

Fantastic
This is a great beer. This beer tastes as good at it looks. It isn't very hoppy but it isn't dull either. I also like it better than Anchor Steam. I will have this beer go into my regular rotation.

Yummy
This was the first lager that I have made. I normally go with Ales due to the greater selection. But, with that said, I will definitely be brewing this again. I'm used to IPAs, but I like a less hoppy beer on warm days. This is definitely that "go to" beer for me for hot days. It has a slight fruity flavor, but not sweet. Flavorful, but easy to drink. I have it on tap and it's been perfect for these 90+ degree days. Very happy with the way it turned out. Better than had hoped. I used the recommended White Labs yeast.

One of my favorites
I have now brewed two of these kits and they are definitely my favorite session beer. Not quite as dry, a little fruitier than Anchor, but I actually prefer it.

Great Recipe
My first time making a Cal Common and I am very impressed. Not quite as dry as the namesake, but I like it better.
