Description

A ball lock fitting valve that fits any standard 1 or 2 liter soda bottle. Fill up the soda bottle from your keg, and then pressurize with your CO2 line ball lock quick disconnect. Once pressurized, the carbonation is not lost until opened. Great for taking draft beer to parties, picnics, games or wherever without it going flat.

It's the only way to make home seltzer in a liter bottle. The seals are more reliable than the stainless steel version.

what amount of CO2 psi can you put on a 2 litre soda bottle?
Steve Fenske on Jan 30, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I had this question too so I reached out to Carbacap. This is their response:"All CarbaCap’s are hydro tested with 40 psi of CO2 before packaging. The safety cap inside the CarbaCap will pop out if the user exceeds the tested pressure (ref. FAQ#14). If this occurs the user should send the CarbaCap in for a free replacement (ref. Lifetime-Warranty Page). Safety at home with our product is important. Incorrectly using the product outside of it’s tested parameters, whether intentional or accidentally is not safe. The instructions card that came with the CarbaCap list the operating procedure to not exceed 30 psi of CO2. According to the Priestley Methode of Carbonation, the users should not exceed 2 Atmospheres (29.391898 psi) to achieve maximum carbonation. Many users mistakenly think if they use more pressure they will get more carbonation. Temperature, exposure, and pressure are the methods of carbonation (ref. Carbonation Page)."
Does this work worth a pin lock set up?

BEST ANSWER: No, this item is for ball lock fittings.

Hard pass.
Soda water and such, sure. Beer, nope. Very difficult to thread and to attach or remove the gas quick release. You gotta have a co2 tank anyway to use it, so just buy a cheap corny keg and join the party.

Works great
I have used this to carb water with great success. Adding a few drops of flavoring makes the water even better.

AWESOME!
Great for fast carbonating and taking beer around the friends houses. You can use them on any standard bottle so there are a myriad of bottle sizes you can choose to use for however much you want to take with you.

***Make sure you cut the plastic ring at the base of the cap off the bottle before using these because they need that extra room to thread all the way on properly.***

This thing is perfect for getting a quick taste of delicious (we hope) homebrew nectar. Great for taking brew on the go, highly recommended.

Pricey but works
Easy to use and create any carbonated beverage. Forget sodastream, with a combined ball lock fitting and keg you can carb up 2L soda bottles all day long.

Chill down your desired target and then force carb with gentle shaking. Worked great for cider or water alone.

Great for small batches
I've made some small 2 gallon batches fermented in 1 gal jugs. I can split each gallon into two 2L bottles. Works great for the road. 2L bottles fit in most coolers.

I squeeze the plastic bottles down until they squeeze out beer, then I fill them with CO2 and give it a shake. Only downside is you have to drink it all in one sitting, much like a growler.

Great product
I've been using this product for years. It works great for carbonating anything, water, soda, or beer, 1, 1.5, or 2 liters at a time. It requires some shaking to get all the CO2 to dissolve, and it works better when the liquid is colder. It fits on all the bottles I've used.
