Will one tablet work for grolsch bottles? .. they are 15.2 oz
Kirby Levad on Apr 21, 2020
BEST ANSWER: I would say you will probably get a slightly low carbonation with one tab in a 15-16 oz. bottle. Similar to an English ale carb level. One tab just barely gives an acceptable carbonation level in a 12 oz., where 2 tabs in a 22 oz. seems just about right. It may seem like I'm splitting hairs, but that's the experience I've had.
How long do you wait for carbonation after you apply tablet to bottle?
Dennis Hannaford on Jan 17, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Generally two weeks at room temperature for the bottle to fully carbonate.
What is the approximate CO2 volume one drop produces in a 12oz bottle?
Andrei Kunevsky on May 19, 2020
BEST ANSWER: One drop into a 12 oz bottle should give an average carbonation (for most ales and lagers) of somewhere between 2.2-2.7 volumes of CO2. If you wanted to calculate it exactly, you could weigh the drop to see how much sugar is in one drop, then use a Beer Priming Calculator online to calculate how much CO2 that volume of sugar will give you per 12 oz of beer. Cheers!
Will these tablets work if I've cold crashed the beer in the carboy prior to bottling?
Dan Dolan on Feb 10, 2021
BEST ANSWER: Sure they will.
I know it doesn't contain gluten (since it's made out of fake sugar/s), but is it processed in the same facility as things that do contain gluten? (Wheat, Barley, Rye, common beer making things).
Sbenn on Jan 22, 2023
BEST ANSWER: Glucose and sucrose are both naturally occurring sugars from fruits and plants. Sugar and gluten are two totally separate things to begin with. The second half of your statement/question is a probable concern as a lot of food processing plants handle both sugars and grains containing gluten.

used 2 tabs in a standard 20 oz. and 1 tab in a 16 oz flip top.

Carbonation was perfect for the Milk Stout.

Great Product
Just drop in to the bottle and fill directly from the fermenter for less risk of oxygen contamination. I usually have more in the fermenter than my keg will hold and I now fill the leftovers in bottles and use this product. The carbonation it provides is good. The IPL I just made had more hop presence with the bottle conditioned beer than there was in my kegged beer.

Perfect carbonation every time
I wasn’t sure if they would work or if I had to spin the bottles to shake them up. So I did a control group experiment. There was no difference between the bottles I shook and the others. They were all carbonated perfectly. Definitely going to use them again

Bottle condition the excess from primary fermentation
Add 5 or 6 units to a 1/2 gallon growler to bottle condition the excess from the fermenter when racking to secondary. Set aside for a month or more and open up a nicely carbonated reminder of the product that can be shared with friends.

I used on a NEPA so I could minimize any oxidation introduced during transfer from the fermentor along with the traditional adding of priming sugar. Works fine, but the larger size of tablet doesn't allow you to fine tune the amount of carbonation wanted based on a particular beer style. Tablets 1/4 this size would allow much better control of desired carbination.
