I've been going to a local mead place by work and the taste has grown on me. The owner is nice enough to share his process and I wanted to try my hand at it myself.

Can I use my beer making equipment to make mead ?
Walter L.Doughty on Aug 20, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Yes, After fermentation I rack to a 5 gallon keg and lightly carbonate. However, you are supposed to age before drinking. I followed the instructions provided by Morebeer. Be sure to buy the nutrients they sell. There are no nutrients in honey. That’s why it keeps so long.

Good Resource for making Mead
I listened to a podcast interview with Ken Schramm and he is very knowledgeable on making mead. I learned some good tips by listening to him and I had to buy his book.
