We think our Counter Pressure Filler is the best on the market and the Deluxe Counter Pressure Filler takes a proven design to the next level by adding a pressure gauge for monitoring bottle pressure and flared connections for easy cleaning.

The gauge allows you to know the pressure in your bottle, an incredibly handy feature. The flared connections allow for easy cleaning as you can connect on or disconnect your lines in a matter of seconds. Traditionally these lines can be difficult to sanitize because they were permanently connected with hose clamps.

Flush and fill from the bottom of the bottle with an all-stainless filler! Our new design on counter pressure filling features a special valve on top that allows CO2 or beer to flow down the same stainless tube, directly to the bottom of the bottle. The result is a more effective purging of oxygen and fresher tasting beer. The valve has three positions, off, beer and CO2. The unit is inserted into the bottle in the off position. The valve is then turned to CO2 to flush the bottle and then to beer for filling. The adjustable pressure relief on the side of the unit allows you control the speed of fill by adjusting the pressure in the bottle. The valve is positioned in such a way that it is easy to use with one hand, while the other holds the bottle. This model is designed for 12oz bottles but can easily be extended to accommodate larger bottles, such as 22oz, with a small piece of 1/4" tubing.

Still has all the great features of our Original:

  • All Stainless Construction (except for a brass backing on the pressure gauge)
  • A true Counter Pressure Filler (for less foaming)
  • Easy to use Stainless 3-way ball valve on top
  • Adjustable Stainless pressure release on side
  • Flushes bottle from the bottom not the top

Beer barb is 1/4". Gas barb is 5/16".

Can you dump the entire deluxe model with pressure gauge in star-san without damaging gauge?
Jeff Nash on Oct 31, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Hi Jeff - The regulator should not be exposed or dunked in liquid.
Iis the keg itself hooked up to a separate CO2 line?
Steve provoncha on Jul 25, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Hello Steve - Yes, the keg will need it's own line. However we offer KEG803 as an accessory kit that supersedes this.

Can I use this to bottle "uncarbonated" beer?
Wayne Tourigny on Feb 18, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Yes you can. I’d recommend adding the priming sugar to the beer in some sort of vessel that can handle pressure like a corny keg then using it just like you would with carbonated beer. You won’t get any foaming like you would with carbonated beer but you will be able to reduce oxygen in the bottle and headspace.
So what's the best way to clean this filler? Can I just circulate sanitizer through it, or do I need to disassemble it after use?
Nathan Lazur on May 21, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I've used mine to bottle about a dozen 5g batches. I remove the hoses and submerge the entire CPB Filler in my bottle sanitizing tub for a couple minutes then I turn the valve though all the positions and dunk and drain several times. I do this immediately after filling so that no beer dries on or inside the filler. I observe the inside of the tubing and the valve connections to make sure there is no residue build-up. It still looks as clean as it did out of the box.

What size are the o-rings? I lost one and need to get a replacement. Also does anyone have assembly instructions? A friend dissasembled mine and don't know how to correctly put it back together =(
Miguel Angel Cruz Sanchez on Apr 2, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The o-rings used in the counter pressure bottle filler are 8 mm outer diamter and 6 mm inner diameter. These o-rings are not listed on our site but if you contact our customer service department, they should be able to send you replacements if you reference part number H923.

Surprised with the overall ratings on this. I expected this to be a straightforward tool but I was wrong. Instructions were useless, every fitting was loose, check valve does nothing. Been home brewing for a long time and fairly handy but not a mechanic and this gave me trouble. Lots of beer lost and paper towels used to clean up the mess. Less than thrilled with my purchase.

Expensive, but necessary for high-carb bottling
It took a while for me to get the hang of this, but once I did, I was able to slowly and carefully bottle home made soda from my keg without losing much carbonation. There were some pieces of teflon thread tape that made it into one of my bottles, so make sure you run clean water and turn all the valves at pressure to clean out before bottling. The side attachment where the pressure relief valve and pressure meter attaches has some movement (it's not solid), but I'm not sure if that's by design.

I also bought the Counter Pressure Accessory Package with the ball-lock attachment (KEG803). The original gas line that came with my keg was 1/4” ID, 1/2” OD, but the gas line that came with the accessory package was 5/16” ID, 9/16” OD. So, the T adapter that came with it was very difficult to attach onto my smaller gas line, but I managed to stretch my skinnier tubing onto the T and get it to work. I may eventually replace my original gas line with the larger 5/16" ID tubing, but I worry that the fittings that attach to my CO2 tank would not work without being replaced also.

It does feel a little expensive for what you get, and it does take some time to get used to, but I'm now bottling home made sodas and preserving the highest carbonation level I've ever been able to capture previously using my poor man's beer gun (racking cane with stopper plugged into the picnic tap).

Not the quality I expected
Some nice features (3way valve, quick connect barbed fittings) but very poor connections between valve body and fill stem and between fill stem and gauge assembly. They appear to be compression fittings that should take conical gaskets, but instead were sealed (or not) with two black rubber o-rings for each fitting, placed in tandem. This arrangement made a very floppy attachment at both places and seemed destined to leak. I fixed with a 1/4” brass “olive” ferrule as a spacer and one o-ring, stuff I had on hand, but as the filler was shipped, it was not acceptable.

A true counter pressure bottle filler. Recommend having a friend assist so as you fill the bottles they can cap them but overall very happy with this.

Better than faking it with a stopper and a picnic tap
First off: it works, and it works pretty well. I needed something better than a picnic tap and a tube for bottling root beer and preserving the carbonation. I tried using a stopped and easing off the seal to make my own version of a counter pressure filler, which kinda worked, but I broke two picnic taps in the process, made a big mess, and it was just all-around clumsy. This does a much better job.

I docked a star because it's kinda tedious to fill bottles this way; the tube is a little bit too long (In fact, it had poked through the box during delivery. And as it is, it's a little long for 12oz bottles and I have to set it at an angle to get the stopper to seat. I'll probably cut a quarter or half inch off the tip of the tube); and the stopper seems a tad soft.

But it does what it advertises, and now I have bubbly bottled root beer.
