Description

This Duotight fitting with 1/4" Flare is perfect for flared gas and beverage ball lock and pin lock disconnects. It can also be used to connect gas line to the flare fitting found on the KOMOS® CO2 Regulator. Compatible with EVABarrier 8 mm OD Tubing (D1717 & D1718).

Duotight offers superior quality when compared to other push-in fittings. Their double EPDM O-ring design provides a more complete and reliable seal, protecting against leaks even when tubing is bent around tight corners. They are suitable for both beverage and gas applications, and are pressure rated to 100 psi. Tubing can be released by simply pushing in the collet and pulling the line out. No need for clamps or cutting lines!

Features:
  • Insert tubing and firmly push to connect
  • Easily release tubing by pushing in the collet
  • Suitable for both gas & beverage applications
  • Made from food-grade acetal plastic
  • Double O-rings made from highly chemical resistant EPDM
  • Locking teeth made from stainless steel
  • Pressure rated to 150 psi
  • Temperature rated to 212°F (100°C)

Please note: exposure to chlorine will degrade the acetal plastic and stainless steel these fittings are made from. Do not use in contact with bleach or other chlorinated cleaning chemicals.

Ball lock fitting and regulator not included.

My father purchased an O2 kit me for Christmas. It cam with 2 duotight fittings for the flow meter but the regulator has a barb fitting. To make the EVA tubing fit the regulator there should be a third duotight in the kit.

I love these,I decided to convert my three tap kegerator to all duo tight fittings and it was actually cheaper to just buy the new draft tower with these duotight fittings and buy these to replace the fittings for my gas and beer line ball lock fittings.

Instead of trying to mate this BSP fitting to a NPT fitting, shouldn't we just get the H853, which is actually NPT? Then a regular DUO106 should screw right on the male flare from the H853? I'm suspicious of trying to use a BSP male in an NPT female.

BEST ANSWER: That’s my same question.
I bought a 4 way manifold, 4mm evabarrier and duotight fittings and realized the fittings nor the tubing will fit the manifold. Is there any way or part that I can get to work around this?

I see how this attaches to tubing. How does it attach to the ball lock keg fitting?
david s on Sep 23, 2019
BEST ANSWER: It has a 1/4” (female threaded) flare fitting that screws onto the quick connect. If your ball lock quick connects have barbs instead of threads it won’t work as you have the wrong kind.
Has anyone had success finding these in stainless steel? These are great but are plastic and break easily.
Marc L on Dec 30, 2021
BEST ANSWER: Yes, they're available as SS "push in fittings" ; however, they are very expensive. If you're looking for better quality at a cheaper price try John Guest fittings.
Do these fittings work with any tubing or do I have to "retube" my kegarator with the EVA tubing?
Clifton S on Jul 10, 2019
BEST ANSWER: You would need tube inserts to use these fittings on soft vinyl tubing.
Are these fittings rated to sub-freezing temperatures?
Peter Kraemer on Apr 27, 2023
BEST ANSWER: Probably not sub zero but would probably work for glycol systems near 0C/ 32F. Maybe contact the manufacturer directly.
Anyone have any luck converting the barb gas outs to 1/4 flare on the Elite Series Four Product Secondary Regulator with this adaptor? If converted, then would work perfectly with a duotight DUO106

Brass Flare Fitting - 1/4 in. Flare x 1/4 in. MPT
Brass Flare Fitting - 1/4 in. Flare x 1/4 in. MPT
BEST ANSWER: I made the change over one year ago and everything has worked great. Make sure you also replace the existing plastic gas line with new duotight plastic gas line. In my case, I added duotight fittings and plastic lines for both the gas in and beer out.

If you keg and use flares you will likely need this.
In expensive, works well with the correct tubing. No leaks and not exactly easy to remove but can be removed. This was a no brainer. I did make a CO2 distro system with this, into an inexpensive kitchen refrigerator with the tank and distro system in the fridge. Doing this takes planning, organization and space in the fridge or you will find yourself unhappy with the results. it works but probably not like you though it would unless you plan it out carefully. The same for a multi keg, kegerator..

Weak Threads and Gas Leaks
The guidelines say to tighten with your fingers and then go another 90 degrees. This is flat-out wrong. Gas will escape.

You have to tighten these things way past finger-tight plus 90 degrees, and because the plastic is soft, it's very easy to strip the threads. You have to know exactly how far to tighten then, and you learn that by destroying one or two.

Fell apart
I was using one of these in a CO2 line set at 10 psi when one night it literally fell apart. I lost a full cylinder of gas. I really could not believe how it just separated.

Used to connect to H853>Taprite regulator
Had to tighten more than directions said to. Finger tight, then used wrench until resistance felt, then another 1/2 turn. Used soapy water test to verify seal. Duotight system held pressure for more than a week before I discontinued test.

I have both pin locks and ball lock kegs so it easy just to change the 1/4" fitting with the 8 mm tube so I put them on the connectors and just change the to a different connector by plugging or plugging the tubing

They are the best!
I really like the versatility of the quick connect. Tighten them down on your regulator and never have to remove them.
