Description

A well-known, commercial English ale yeast, selected for its fast fermentation character and its ability to form a very compact sediment at the end of the fermentation, helping to improve beer clarity. This yeast is recommended for the production of a large range of ale beers where big flavor is desired. Used in test batches here at B3 we were pleased with the clean flavor. Initial customer feedback has also been very high. Recommended temperature range: 64F-72F.

What is the alcohol tolerance of this yeast? I didn't see it mentioned on the TDS.
Mark on Dec 23, 2019
BEST ANSWER: While I don't know exactly, #04 is my goto for fermenting dry, double digit abv. I actually find it to ferment cleaner than #05, better fluctuation, and denser yeast cake.

worked great with Irish Red Ale
I fermented under pressure at 8 psi and it worked great. FG flatlined after only two days! I let it go for another day just to be sure. Result was very successful batch. I am a convert to pressure fermentation.

Worked great
This was my first time using dry yeas and I was very happy. The lag time to fermentation was short and my beer tasted the same as when I was using Liquid yeast.
