Description

Gypsum (also known as Calcium Sulfate) is used to add permanent hardness (Calcium ions) to brewing water. 1 gram in 1 gallon changes the salt levels by 61.5 ppm calcium, 147.5 ppm sulfate and adds 153.5 ppm to the hardness.

Bought this with the LaMotte water test kit to boost sulfate for brewing IPA. A pound ought to be a lifetime supply for a homebrewer.

Needs re-sealable bags
I have had to clip the bag shut, and then put inside another zip-lock bag. It would be nice if these came in re-sealable bags.
