Can I use this with 240V ac I gather the effective wattage will be higher ( 1500Watts) with more volts with current at 6.36 Amps at 110V ?
Phillip Newton on Dec 4, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Hi Phillip - One would have to use voltage reducers as this appliance was engineered to use 120V ac.

too hot
Really wish there was an affordable heat unit with adjustable temp control. We have to turn off the unit every six bottles to cool for a few minutes or it get too hot and causes the shrinks to tear. Otherwise the machine works as designed, just gets too darn hot.

Works great. Overheats easy though.
It does what is expected. Do expect to have to turn the switch on and off to manage temperature. Also, there should be a manual to assist with an explanation on the best orientation of the bottles and the adjustable ramp. Took forever to realize I could adjust it.

Aside from that, good to go. Just like every other capsule shrinker out there.

Helped a lot, but I had trouble keeping the cap in place as it would enter the heating unit. Any suggestion or help with that would be appreciated. Otherwise a great tool for winemaking!
