Description

Most winemakers appreciate the simplicity of using a keg for topping up barrels... apply nitrogen or argon gas pressure and you top up your barrels as needed. The Kegmenter fills this need perfectly with a large 4" TC lid and ball lock posts. The posts are recessed which allows you to stack these kegs up to 4 high. A 4" T.C. end cap with pre drilled hole is also available (H691), which can be paired with a #3 stopper and airlock.

Features:

  • Rated up to 3.5 BAR (50 psi)
  • 4 in tri-clamp lid
  • Ball lock posts built into lid
  • Floating dip tube
  • Pressure Relief Valve
  • Stainless steel 1.8 mm thick

Use:

  • As a stainless steel fermenter that is easy to clean
  • Great choice for 10 gallon ferments
  • Easy to pressurize the kegmenter after fermentation to push through a filter and into another keg
  • Fermenting under pressure, allowing co2 to exit via the relief valve, reduces esters and fusel alcohol production allowing you to ferment at warmer temperatures
  • As a cellar keg for topping up barrels
  • Distillation - with the addition of a T.C. reducer and condenser (H701 / DS120 / DS130)

Warning: Always depressurize keg before removing lid.

Does not come with spunding valve show in example photo. See FIL42A.

What is the width and height of fermenter?
joel hembree on Feb 21, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Joel - Width 19.68" Height - 23.62"
Will a cool stick fit on the kegmentor or is there a coil or IC that can be attached to use with a glycol chiller?
PAUL ALDRICH on Mar 4, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Paul - There is no reason this can't be done, simply how. GLY534 seems to be what you're looking for. Unfortunately we do not carry cap style TC reducers, but this would help save on height.
