Description

The KOMOS Kegerator offers a stunning set of features that clearly separate this unit as the most modern kegerator on the market. With more interior space than other models, the KOMOS Kegerator is designed to fit up to four 5-gallon Slimline Torpedo kegs or Pepsi-style Ball Lock Corny kegs. Whether you choose the single, double, triple, or quad tap configuration, you'll receive NukaTap stainless steel faucets with matte black finish, the newest in forward-sealing faucet design. Stainless faucets are a huge upgrade over the chrome-plated brass faucets commonly included with other kegerators, and you'll quickly recognize the quality of a forward-sealing beer faucet compared to the standard taps seen at your local tavern or in-law's mancave. Rather than a chrome plated tower, the NukaTap faucets are mounted to a stainless steel tower that remains cool before, during, and after each pour thanks to a tower fan diverter that recirculates cold air within the kegerator and blows it up into the tower to keep your beer lines cold and reduce foaming. From keg to faucet, your beer will pass through EVABarrier draft lines, a premium double-walled tubing designed to protect against beer oxidation. And with Duotight push-to-connect fittings, you'll have your lines connected in a snap with no need to force the tubing over barb fittings or fiddle with hose clamps. Other features you'll love about the KOMOS Kegerator include its highly-efficient cooling capacity so you'll be serving ice cold beer even in the warmest temperatures, extra wide temperature range from 26–82°F, dual gas inlets at the back, aluminum internal floor, rolling casters, and the included KOMOS Dual Gauge CO2 regulator.

This unit features an extended range digital controller that can adjust internal temperatures from 26 - 82°F. The higher end of this range is really convenient for homebrewers who often want to ferment at temperatures around 70°F. The digital controller always displays the temperature and is easily adjusted from the front of the kegerator with the door closed.

All kegerators NukaTap faucets to mount on the stainless tower. NukaTap is the newest brand of forward sealing faucets that boast a lower thermal mass for reduced first pour foam. They feature a "nuke-shaped" internal shuttle that is made from TPV, which provides superior laminar flow to further reduce foaming issues. If you prefer all stainless steel components in your beer faucet, we would suggest the kegerator configuration that comes with Intertap faucets. All faucet spout attachments and accessories are cross compatible between Intertap and NukaTap.

Our kegerators come standard with Duotight fittings and EVABarrier draft tubing. Duotight push-in fittings offer quick connection, a reliable seal, and versatility. Setting up and connecting draft line has never been easier -- no more hose clamps or heating water to soften tubing. Each kegerator comes with Duotight fittings for the tower shanks, regulator, and for splitting gas lines (double & triple tap only). EVABarrier double walled tubing offers superior protection against oxidation, CO2 loss, and microbial growth. It's also PVC-free and BPA-free.

The KOMOS kegerator boasts a list of other unique features for a kegerator in this price range, such as the tower fan, included KOMOS CO2 regulator, aluminum floor, rolling casters, and countertop drip tray.

My current kegerator is 15 years old and on its last leg. This Komos has more room inside, better temp control, and will be a better fit for my living space.

I have five corny kegs (two pin lock and three ball lock) must die get a torpedo slim line keg for a one tab system or can I use one ball lock corny keg? Probably not right?
Dan Freimayer on Oct 19, 2021
BEST ANSWER: For one tap you can use any size of keg you wish. You can fit any 2 kegs inside at any time. If you want to get 3 kegs inside you will need at least 1 if not all 3 to be slimline or original ball lock size kegs.
I purchased a 2 tap unit and am awaiting its arrival and building a bar to place it under. It will have 22” clearance on either side and 2” in back, with the tower up thru the bartop. Can the Komos be used in this set up? It will be just under the bartop to have enough room to fill glasses with beer. Thanks
Shane Mock on Sep 29, 2021
BEST ANSWER: There should be plenty of room to put a glass underneath the tap. You might have trouble getting some pitchers under there. Also with just 2" in the back you will need to put the CO2 tank inside the fridge or in the adjacent cabinet which may limit your space inside the refrigerator.

Great Kegerator for the Price!
I've owned this kegerator with 4 taps for just over 1 year. I installed it into my back bar with the top of the kegerator even with granite countertops. My CO2 tank and regulator are in the adjacent cabinet. So I have about 1/4" clearance on each side and the back of the kegerator is against the wall. We built a finished platform to raise the top even with the counter. Leveling glides are extended halfway. I've not had any issues with the kegerator overheating and it keeps my kegs at 36 degrees consistently. I know the recommendation is 4" all around but I've not had any issues. I've also been able to put 2 commercial kegs and 2 slimline kegs in the kegerator at the same time. I have not tried 4 commercial kegs because I always have home brew on tap. Would be interested to know if anyone has put 4 commercial 5 gal kegs in this kegerator. No complaints with this unit at all!

Totally worth it.
Matte black finish flakes off as expected but still looks great. Try to stick with the shorter fittings on your sanke tap. There's enough room for the beer line but longer fittings make it a bit tight. All of this is superficial. The product it amazing, holds whatever temp I set it at and has plenty of modularity for remote lines, gas, tower, and so on.
I currently have a 1/6 and quarter keg in mine and that's all it'll do, though it will fit the kegs listed in the product description.

I really REALLY like having a kegerator!!!
Aside from having to use a very long extension to get the tower screwed in, it was easy to put together. If I had not already had the tool I might have taken a star away. It is a wonderful set up. On tap I have an IPA and a graf. I'm about to brew a brown ale and the last tap will be a root beer soda. I will say definitely get some in-line regulators. Wish I would have bought this thing long ago.

Great kegerator, not so great paint on the NukaTaps
You pay a bit more for a purpose-built machine like this, but it's good value for money. Comes very well packed and the setup is pretty straightforward. The cooling fan and ports for the gas line(s) are a nice touch.

The coating on the NukaTaps leaves a lot to be desired. I expected wear and tear on the inside threads, but did not expect large black chunks floating in my beer. Not a fan of drinking paint chips.

I will be putting my old stainless Intertap faucets back on the tower.
Good thing I wasn't pouring a stout.

So far I'm happy. Maybe should have gotten the four tap. It is quiet, setup was easy, only one keg in there currently but plans for more.

Nice Appliance, Generally well designed
I'm a hobbyist cidermaker. I bought the Komos Kegerator to keep 2 of our ciders, a guest beer , and a sparkling water on tap. Getting the 4th tap going is proving a challenge.

The Komos v2 Kegerator is a nice appliance. It's a quality build with good interior space. The quad tap tower is a nice compact setup. The digital controls are easy to use.And the rubber casters are well made. I do wish there was a stainless steel top or insert though.

Overall it's nice. Here are a few critiques; these improvements would make it better,
1- The system is marketed to integrate well with Torpedo Keg brand kegs. You can fit 3 standard cornys plus your gas or 4 slimline cornys leaving the gas outside potentially on a rack that is included and attaches to the back of the unit (not the sides though). However, one would think you could put 2 2.5 gal cornys stacked to get your 4th tap setup. But it doesn't fit. The handles are so tall that the stacked 2.5gal setup misses fitting by about 1".
This makes the whole system less useful for the quad tap setup. Even if I replaced all my standard Torpedos w slimline ones, the bulky tall handles make the integration with the Kegerator more difficult. Indeed a slimline keg is 7/8" taller than a standard. Maybe the rubber topped soda kegs that have a shorter cowl would work for a double 2.5 gal stack.

2- The tower is difficult to assemble. Just milling the bottom flange for keyhole screwfix mounting would make setup so much easier. Then you'd screw in the screws halfway and just slide the tower on and turn it. As it stands now, you have to reach down the tower with a screw and hand thread it part way. Then take a long screwdriver ad fasten each screw. It's real tight in there.

3- The display is really bright. It would be nice if it shut off and relit when you touched it. At night it lights up the room and there is no dim or off option. I put a piece of electrical tape over it.

4- This is aspirational. One might imagine a Kegerator where the tank pressure could be in the digital display, perhaps even with a low pressure alarm. If anyone could do it, I would think that Komos could. Mechanical gauges are designed to read pressure at a specific temperature. That's why they're inaccurate when in the fridge. However, a digital gauge could calculate the actual pressure regardless of the gauge temp.
