Description

The largest hydrometer jar we carry perfect for use with our Special Scale Brix hydrometers. Of course also works well with any of the smaller hydrometers. The larger two inch diameter is also a bit more forgiving if you have a skin or two in your sample.

Is this hydrometer jar made of plastic or glass?
John (Jack) Daniel on Jul 7, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Plastic.
FWIW I bought one about a year ago. It leaks at the base. I thought about sealing it with epoxy, but it's so large that it isn't useful to me anyway.

Too large for what I hoped to do
Really too large. I was also surprised that the tube separates from the base - happened at a very inopportune time.
