I didn't even notice they sell non drawstring bags here. I just looked at the dimensions, but completely missed the fact that there is no string

Lifesaver
This mesh bag is a lifesaver for my sanity. I have used fresh fruit for my mead in the past and had a headache trying to siphon the must to secondary. This makes it easy. Just lift it out. Thank you!

Great with hop spider
I’ve used 5 gallon paint strainer bags with a hop spider in the past, but had clogging issues with post boil hop additions. I typically cycle wort through my plate chiller back into the boil kettle with the return hose in the the hop spider. This allows me to reduce trub and hops going into the plate chiller while lowering the wort temperature. Once I hit the target temperature and add hops for the stand, I continue cycling the wort to maximize hop flavors. This is where the paint strainer bags would clog.

This mesh bag did not clog and kept trub and hop material from clogging the plate chiller. Seems like it has the right combination of volume and mesh size.

Perfect Fit
I use these bags in a 5 gallon pot and they fit perfectly. Work great as a second filter for the mash and for easy clean up. These bags also last a long time and can be used over and over. Last bag was used for about 20 batches before getting a wear hole in it.

Mesh bags
good fabric, cleans back to white quite well. after about 2 hours of usage I see 2 places where the seams have opened up about an inch. I use these inside a basket press to keep seeds and bits of grape skin from the getting into the wine during press.
