I bought the BAG28 Mesh Bag and have done (19) BIAB 5 Gal batches with it. Just starting to get some holes, but considering how far this lasted, will buy this again. Looked at the Brew Bag for $30 but still think this one is a good deal for the price. Plus, I will just get a brand new mesh bag every 20 batches or so.
I have not been a BIAB brewer, but as I have started to make traditional kvass, which is essentially a way to create a tasty very low alcohol drink using malt and leftover stale bread with sourdough cultures, I found this bag to be invaluable. Because a kvass made in the traditional way is "live", it will sour excessively and create bottle bombs unless kept in a cold refrigerator. Even there it continues to sour, and is best drunk within 2 weeks. So I have turned to 4 liter batches, brewing with 5 liters of water, it is much simpler to use a mesh bag to mash in a small stovetop pot, and sparge it three times to get the wort. Without considering liquid loss, I get 95% efficiency this way (remember kvass made this way will be about 1-1.5% alcohol). Anyway, the bag is strong and well made and actually larger than what I need but it works great
