60 day no hassle return policy. Details

When used with the male QD these quick disconnect seal up very well in either flow direction, without a lot of work in connecting them. This will work with any of our H503 and H507 series of quick disconnects. However, it does not work in conjunction with any of our plastic or brass quick disconnects. These feature a 1/2" Male National Pipe Thread on the ends for easy connectivity to almost anything.
The quick disconnect will hold pressure for typical brewing applications when moving liquids at 60psi or less. 1/2" ID. Gasket temperature range is -40° to 250° F. Open port, does not have shut-off.
We designed the original stainless QD's for the brewing industry over 10 years ago. The same manufacturer has been machining them for us ever since. The design has certainly been copied but not with consistent quality. That is why our Stainless QD fittings have a near unanimous 5 star review with retail customers.

Can these be used for low pressure CO2 and O2? e.g., for carbonation stone in conical
Cynthia D. on Oct 19, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Yes, there is no chemical compatibility issues for stainless or seal and once engaged the orifice is more than enough for that application. The real question is what pressure rating does the fitting have compared to your gas supply max and what safety setting do you have on vessels. This fitting is likely 10+ Times higher rated then any carbonation pressure. O2 addition should be at less than 1-2 psig.

Things to be aware of, if using pure or high concentrations of oxygen, it is highly flammable and can easily auto ignite at high pressure and velocity. If you diffuse O2 in sealed keg, you could be making a bomb! If you stir a little in there is no issue. I stir via sintered metal rod in open top for the most part, but for my continuous units I meter the O2 in via tee fitting as it flows by.

Side note, seals are likely neoprene so they are good for high ethanol content. Some other vendors use buna rubber and they are not compatible with alcohols.
Can anyone kindly advise whether or not these female QD's are free-flowing at all times? (i.e. if I have a hose fitted with one of these on each end, will the liquid be trapped? or be able to escape?)

Works great, good quality
I converted my homebrew setup to make all transfer hose connections between HLT, kettle, pumps, mash tun, RIMS tube, etc. quick disconnect rather than barbed fittings. Much faster. These fittings (and similar tri-clamp versions) make everying quick and easy. These are very good quality.

Don’t forget male piece
Unless you have existing QD connections, this piece will not suffice on its own. You need the male piece to connect to. This is a quality product that make brew day easier.

Worth the money
Adding QDs can be expensive, but in the long run it is definitely worth it. These QDs are manufactured very well. I have purchased from other stores, but the quality is not the same. The whole unit feels solid and clean.

fits, no leaks
What can you say about a plumbing fitting? It fits, it doesn't leak, it has an o-ring in it that is probably replaceable if it ever wears out.

Great quick disconnects
I use these Male and Female QDs throughout my brewery - Female on all the hoses, and Male on kettles, pumps, heat exchanger, and wort chiller. No leakage whatsoever. They're expensive, but a joy to use.

Great product
I have about 10 of these in use, overall a excellent product. Make sure you clean after use well to avoid sticking. One trick I have found that works is to use a spray bottle with San Star and give the inner ring a quick spray before connection, works well! I love the stainless and I expect them to last a long time for sure.
