Not impressed
Not very accurate when tested on fresh pH buffer solutions, and the 0.4 steps from one color to the next makes these strips pretty worthless for brewing.

Absolutely awful. The color on the first use was mild at best and after a month no longer displays color at all.

Thought I would give these a try.
Need to know what my ph is, and am too cheap to buy a meter.

Pretty hard to tell what the actual reading is , save your money and get an actual ph meter

Thank you for your honest review and feedback. It is true that pH strips are tough to read and are a bit finicky. You are right to recommend a digital meter for regular use. The strips are great for someone who needs to test just periodically as a benchmark, but over time we agree that the meters are much more reliable for frequent use. Thank you again for your honest review. We are sure it will help others make a decision. Cheers!

Narrow pH range
I should have checked first that these strips only test between 4.6 and 6.2. Very narrow range so I'm not able to accurately check on the pH of my mead must

No Color Change
Maybe I got a bad batch or something.... but I would suggest looking elsewhere for pH Strips. I have a Milwaukee pH meter - this purchased was intended as a back up / calibration check to that meter. I dipped into RO water (around 6.8pH)... no change in color, during mash (about 5.4 pH) no change in color. I only dipped into liquid for 1-2 seconds... and waited a full 10 - 60 seconds to see if anything changed - nothing. I used an eye dropper (just one drop of liquid) with water from my tap (closer to 7.5pH +) and saw a slight hint of purple... but i would need to put on my glasses to see it. Sorry to say these were a waste of money. A taste test would be more accurate.

Easy to Read
These pH strips are quick reacting and easy to read. I assume they are accurate, but haven't verified it against a meter.

work, but a little finicky
I've used these with a couple brews now. I recommend taking a small sample out of your hot mash or whatever you're measuring, letting it cool, then putting a drop on the stick, rather than dipping into the hot solution. Dipping seems to grab too much liquid on the stick and the color then runs, possibly being less accurate.

The photo gives you a sense of what the colors really look like across the range. Far left= lime juice (pH ~3.5), far right = saturated NaHCO3 (pH ~9), in the middle is coffee brewed this morning to simulate some pH's actually in-range (coffee is around pH 5-6ish depending on strength)
Left is lime juice (pH ~ 3.5). Middle in-range coffee. Far right is saturated baking soda (pH ~ 9).
