Description

Made from 2-row Pils malt with added Carapils for body, this is lightest malt extract available and works great as a base for any lager, especially German lagers or Czech Pilsners. This is also a first choice for Belgian style beers. This is the most fermentable malt extract and will result in a crisp finish with less residual maltiness.

Packaged in oxygen barrier foil bags to reduce oxidation.

How fresh is your LME?
James Folkers on Apr 22, 2020
BEST ANSWER: We always make sure to keep our LME as fresh as possible. We get deliveries of fresh extract every month and always cycle through all of our stock on a FIFO basis.
Ordered 12lbs of Pilsner extract. received it and used it 2 weeks later. When putting it into my boil, it was really dark. Does the malts not last very long before they Darken?
Chris Padilla on Aug 2, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Hi Chris - It should last longer than 2 weeks. How did the final result turn out?
Is this made from European malt, or domestic "pilsner-style" American malt?

Meh.
Meh. Nothing special, definitely use with specialty steeping malts. Doesn't stand up as an all extract brew.

Great
I used this as 7 out of 8 pounds in a New England style session IPA.

It came out straw gold (even with the other pound being an amber DME) and I won first place for style and people's choice at my club's competition. We (including myself) are all grain brewers, some bjcp judges (including myself), and there were some pro-brewers judging as well. I wanted to show that a 100% extract beer could win- and it did!
