Made from BPA free PET, this 5 gallon plastic carboy is a great fermenter for wine that won't affect the taste or smell of your wine. Makes a great secondary fermenter as well because of its negligable oxygen permeability. Cleaning is made easy by its straight smooth sides.
This fermenter comes with a hole 2 inches from the bottom to allow you to install a spigot to make racking much easier. We recommend our plastic bucket spigot (FE347) and you will also need the spigot installation tool (FE311A) to install the spigot.
When cleaning, do not use a carboy brush as the bristles will scratch platic carboys giving bacteria a place to hide and multiply. A #10 stopper fits well in the mouth of the carboy.
Does not come with spigot.
