Description

Power supply for the Cannular Pro Semi Auto Can Seamer. One end is an Anderson plug, which connects to the socket located on the back of the unit. The other end is a 110V plug to use with a standard power outlet.

I'm having power supply problems, when I first plug it in the green lights on the buttons light up for a second or two then fade back off, motor wont operate at all. Anyone else had anything similar? I'm thinking I may have received a faulty transformer...

BEST ANSWER: We have brought this issue up with the manufacturer and are working with them to get replacements. In the meantime the standard Cannular power supply (CAN101) should work with Pro; however, it does not provide enough power for tin cans, just aluminum. Yes, I did also, same exact problem. It has been determined the whole batch is bad. New ones due in September.

In the meantime get the smaller transformer for the other model. It works perfectly for aluminum cans.

U can also have em send you a jumper plug and wire so you can run the cannular off of 18, 19, or 20 volt hand power tool batteries.

Note when running on lower voltage batteries (less than 24v) you will have to use the bump switch to release the jaws from the can so you can remove can. Dont adjust the machine. All will work just fine with transformers.

Warren, I haven't had that happen, but I do know the power plug at the canner side is not sealed. I think they do that to allow shortening of the cord if desired. I would check the connections on that end and see if they are snug. Then make sure the plug is well seated in the outlet (plug in). I actually taped the wire/plug connection to try and keep it from pulling out as I plug it in and out. Hope this helps.

I have the same issue as well. I tested it with a volt meter. It reads 24 volts then when you plug it into the machine it dumps the voltage and the green lights go out. I was thinking the same that I received a faulty transformer. Unfortunately they are out of stock of the pro power supply.

Same issue. Issue occurred during first test run but when I plugged into a hardwired outlet it was able to run through about 150 cans. After two months I’ve tried to run another batch and can get it to stay powered. I’ll be contacting Morebeer for a replacement power supply

After receiving a replacement transformer, it seemed like the problem was resolved, for about 40 minutes. After that it has done the same as the first one. These power transformers are not compatible with the seamer and a different solution needs to be resolved.

I had this same issue with the first power supply that was shipped to me. Green light would turn on when plugged in, then immediately fade out. It was recently replaced and has been working so far. Faulty power supply is the answer.

I had this same issue and contacted More Beer directly. They sent a new power supply and everything seems to be working fine now. Perhaps you got a faulty power supply like I did.

Piece of junk

I made a power supply from parts I ordered off the internet and its been working OK but I decided since it was a bit bulky I'd buy the proper power supply for my Cannular. Well today July 23, 2022 was my first time to use it since I bought it in May and it died while I was canning a batch of beer. Luckily I had my other power supply I made or I never would have been able to get the beer canned. Very disappointed with Kegland for this they usually have very good products.
