A replacement pump head for the H308 diaphragm pump, should the diaphragms become worn or get damaged by passing particulate matter through them.


Please Note: This pump head does not include the Pre-Filter or the Elbow fittings that are connected to your hoses, those will need to be transferred over from the existing pump head or purchased separately.

I dropped my pump on the head from about there feet high(it hit hard) and now it does not work will replacing the head likely fix this problem?

BEST ANSWER: Hi Brian, hard to know but that's a good place to start. If the motor still powers on but nothing is happening replacing the pump head may get it to work. If it does not power on at all the motor may have also been damaged during the fall which you may need to replace all together.
I bought the replacement head and it works, although, there is a lot of air getting in the outflow line. Maybe new o rings? Also, new head did not come with the plastic sliding locks. Can I buy those and some replacement small o rings?

BEST ANSWER: I had the same problem in addition to pump no longer being self priming. The replacement filter is different in size. No one at more wine answered my question if this was a compatible part. The replacement o ring was for the larger filter. I suggest contacting the pump manufacturer and list the problems, identify the correct parts and figure out where your air leak is and how to correct it. More wine is attempting to get better tech support but they are apparently not end users so part numbers, advice is well intentioned but not helpful.

Needed the replacement but
I needed the replacement because the pump would not pump at all. However, after installing the head, the pump only pumps about 1 gallon per minute and has to be turned all the way up to that. Cheaper than buying a completely new pump, but not completely satisfactory either.

Pump Maintenance
Haven't started using this pump yet, but soon. For the pump not working after a storage interval, does the manufacturer suggest a storage solution/bath compound for preserving the diaphragms/parts? Instructions are basically non-existent.

Hopefull
The pump seems to be working okay. Disappointed the original pump head failed considering I always used the filter, & low hours of use. Hopefully the replacement will perform better, & longer.

Poor Quality
Bought in 2018 moved 45 gallons and ensured throughout the process we kept the pump clean. In 2019 we tried to use the pump And after moving 20 or so gallons of wine the pump lost suction. I called customer service followed all of their troubleshooting steps and was told that not using the pump for a little under a year caused the pump to fail and was asked to purchase another pump head. I'm very dissatisfied with the quality of this pump if I'm expected for it to fail yearly..

Faulty replacement head
Upon receipt this pump head would not draw. No directions provided for assembly, but only four bolts and two electrical connections. Manufacture representative claimed pump not defective implied errors with install. I disassembled this dozens of times trying to find a problem, found diaphragm not seated, pump still would not work. I was able to make pump draw for short period then it lost suction and would not function. More Wine assisted with return. Manufacture representative not helpful, only seeking to find fault with customer rather than their product.
