Cleaning my traditional magnetic drive stainless steel pump head requires disassembly from the mount near the floor, this kit is just a tri-clover fitting, which makes it some much easier. The added benefit of a purge valve and a linerar flow control valve make this a no-brainer.

If you already have a pump definitely worth it
This is so dang easy to clean after every use! It’s very solid and heavy. I expect other than the gasket this will outlive the pump. I have never been able to start my march pump so quickly - just pull the PRV and plug it in. I also constantly had to turn it off and back on because of air bubbles prior to this upgrade but since that hasn’t been an issue once

Riptide Brewing Pump Upgrade Kit
I completely endorse the Blichmann's upgrade kit. It was easy to install on my March pump that I had for years. With the adjustable knob you can regulate the flow more accurately then the lever valve I had been using. I've used it for 4-5 brews and I am comepletely satisfied !!!

Great Pump
I replaced another brand SS pump. It seemed every brewday I would have a pump issue and troubleshooting with boiling hot wort is no fun. This one is very easy to clean. The pressure relief and built in valve are very helpful when setting up my recycle and whirlpool.
I attached it directly to my brew stand, so I did not use the mounting plates

Attached to my chugger pump, works great. Love the flow control, love the rotatable head, really love the ease of cleaning.

Worth the difference in price compared to a rebuild for the chugger.
