will this labeler work with tapered bottles, such as burgundy bottles?
Michael Bergstrom on Jul 13, 2021
BEST ANSWER: This labeller will not work with tapered bottles. It is too tricky to set up the rollers and label pitch for proper application on those tapered bottles.
Will this work [properly] with labels on 3" diameter cores?
Adam Goldberg on Aug 8, 2021
BEST ANSWER: Yes it will accommodate labels with different sized center cores. The plastic plates on the spool lightly squeeze the label roll so it doesn't unravel or slip. The labels themselves are pulled through the machine with a series of rollers. In my experience it has no problem dealing with labels that have a core wider than the spool on which the roll sits.
can this apply front and back labels in a single pass?
Michael Bergstrom on Jul 13, 2021
BEST ANSWER: Usually no. There is a sensor that will stop rolling the bottle once the first label is applied. If your front and back labels come on the same roll and are spaced properly you will just have to lower the handle a second time to apply the back label. You may have to roll the bottle manually before lowering the handle to start applying the back label. It really depends on how your labels are on the roll.
