Description

This is the installation tool to install spigots in the Vintage Shop ported PET carboys.

The wrench has a specially molded hex nut to hold the 5/16 inch barbed (FE347) or 1/2 inch barbed (FE347A) spigot nut, and a long handle so you can reach to the bottom of the carboy. The spigot wrench can be reused, you only need it during the installation and/or removal of the spigots.

Does a decent job
It does a great job at adding the back piece to the spigot but opening is too big to allow the gasket to lay in it to try to screw it into the spigot.

Works, but looks like it'll break/warp soon.
It works fine. Cheap plastic though, and will likely break or warp after a couple uses.

Only usable with regular spigot nut, not sediment blocking nut.
100% does not fit the nut with sediment blocker. I’ve messed with this thing for 30min now and the trub nut is just slightly too big for the wrench head. I called prior to writing this review just to be sure I’m not missing a trick (like with the fermonster lid gasket) and I’m not. The wrench is a no go with the trub nut.
I like having the trub nut in the starter kit, just need to widen your wrench head a bit.

Can’t use it
I bought this to use on my fermonster because in the comments of the fermonster page someone from more flavor commented on a customers post that this tool could be used on the spigot of the fermonster. However, this tool does not work on the fermonster spigot. The wrench came with two different sized heads but both are too small to fit the spigot.
