Description

A food grade, high temp plastic spoon perfect for stirring the mash or wort during brewing. Works best with 4 to 10 gallon size kettles.

Tip: Turn the spoon upside down and use the skinny end to stir inside a carboy. Plastic spoons are preferred when using plastic fermenters or bottling buckets as they are less likely to scratch.

This is for my new stainless steel brewing kettle. I don't want to scratch it up with a stainless steeel paddle or spoon.

Great for the price
I use this for everything in my SS kettles. I have a SS spoon but I typically use this one since I don't want to scratch my expensive Blichmann pots.

Nice Spoon
I like using back-end to stir up a batch in my carboy. I don't think I'd use it to stir up mash, though.

It's a spoon...
What more is there really to say, it's a spoon, works good for stirring stuff up. If you need a stiff solid spoon, go for the stainless, but if you just need a cheap good spoon to stir up some wort or something, this'll get it done.

Great Value
Unlike Walmart, this truly is a great value. Don't ruin your fermenting bucket by putting in scratches for bacteria to grow.

spend a few more dollars...
spend a few more dollars and get the stainless steel spoon (Item #: BE425). I had issues with the spoon bending when stirring my mash.

Good Value
This is a great value for the price. That said, I've replaced this spoon a couple of times when the heat and abuse of brewdays starts to stain the plastic and fray the edges a bit. It's still fully functional, but I don't mind getting a new one every couple of years at this price.
