Is there a clamp for 3/16"? Or is this close enough?

BEST ANSWER: I’m not 100% on this, but I think it would work. I think the clamp has enough travel to squish down that far.

Hose Clamps

The screw type clamps have caused me so many problems even though I haven't used many of them. These are much better, even though they are more difficult to remove.
