Description

The Super Sucker transfer pump is the quickest, most hassle-free solution to your wine between vessels. Rack from primary fermenter to secondary or from secondary fermenter to bottling bucket or bottle filler reservoir, and do it without the excess oxygen exposure that results from hand-pumping a siphon or blowing into a carboy hood. Simply run transfer tubing from a racking cane to the pump and then to your receiving vessel, flip the switch, and let the Super Sucker do the work while you kick back and enjoy a cold beverage.

With the Super Sucker you don't need gravity or CO2 pressure to move liquid around. Thanks to the pump's considerable max lift height, you can leave your heavy, full fermenter on the ground and place the receiving vessel side-by-side or even above the fermenter on a countertop.

The Racking Cane Kit includes stainless steel racking cane, two 5 ft. lengths of vinyl transfer tubing, and two butterfly hose clamps for pump connections.

Super Sucker Features:

  • Self-Priming
  • 10 mm Barbed Inlet/Outlet
  • On/Off Switch
  • Max Flow: 1.12 Gal/min
  • Suction: 5 in.
  • Max Lift: 150 in. (12.5 ft.)
  • Maximum Temperature: 140°F
  • Pressure: 90 psi
  • Voltage: 12V DC (3.5A)

Racking Cane Kit Includes:

  • 3/8" OD Stainless Racking Cane (26" long)
  • 2 x 5 ft. lengths of tubing (3/8" ID)
  • 2 x Butterfly hose clamps
  • Racking cane clip

Why lift 6 gallons of wine when you don't have to?
David P on May 29, 2021

How do initially sanitize pump and after use?
James champion on Dec 12, 2021
BEST ANSWER: I use the Super Sucker, racking cane, and and my transfer tubing to pump a few gallons of sanitizing solution from a bucket into my fermenter (to sanitize it as well), letting the cane and tubing run dry (briefly) at the end. This sanitizes everything for the transfer from kettle to fermenter. After the transfer is complete, I pump a gallon or two of sanitizing solution through the system (from and back into the bucket) to clean everything.

Good product but ....
This is a great little pump if your liquid is absolutely pristine. It is a diaphragm pump -- any particles or debris in the liquid will probably puncture the diaphragm and then you have a non-operational pump. It will hum but not pump.

Kudo's to MoreBeer for arranging a cross shipment of a better quality pump with a filter to avoid the problem. Their customer service is 5 star plus.

Our use is for distillate mash where fermentation is 'on grain'. Additionally we use it occasionally for wine related pumping. In both cases there will be particulate matter in the liquid -- small but not compatible with this pump. Look at a H308 if you have any particulates in your liquid.

Nice pump
We used it to rack from our fermenter to bottling pail. Easy to use and the flow rate from floor to counter height was excellent.

Small but powerful
Small but powerful! I've struggled over the years racking wine with gravity, this solved the issue! I've only tested with 10g so far, but it was quick and easy and super easy to clean. We have another 120g to rack soon!

So much better than siphoning!
Works great although the design isn’t very well thought out. Would have been cool if it had a suction cup on the bottom to stick it to fermenters :-)

Great little pump.
So glad we came across this small, affordable and easy to use pump. It worked great for transferring our 30 gallons of wine from a settling tank into carboys. It is definitely going to make home wine making much easier to do.

OK
It clogged the first time I used it.

Cleaned it out the next morning and it is now working fine. See what happens when I use it next?

cheaply made
The on//off switch is cheap plastic and broke on the first (and only) usage, and it appears the motor is not tightly wired, as it kept cutting in and out.
