Description

Taprite's stainless D-Style beer tap for commercial sanke kegs. This premium model features both a stainless inner probe and a stainless steel body. Note some couplers listed as stainless steel only have the stainless probe while the body is chrome plated brass.  Fits most kegs produced in the USA. Made in America by Taprite. This model comes with a pressure relief valve.

Where the draft tailpiece fits there is a plastic piece inside (under the red protection cap). Can it be removed? Seems odd for beer to flow through this plastic when buying an all stainless tap. Thanks for your help!

BEST ANSWER: That plastic piece is in every sankey, it’s a tight-fitting triangular locking mechanism to keep the back flow preventing ball under it secure. It can be removed along with the ball under it, but then there will be no back flow prevention.
What kind of gasket does it use on the gas side?

BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question. This coupler uses the standard "Gas bladder" in the gas side so that it is used as a check valve. If you want to use this couple to fill the keg then you can replace the gas bladder with a standard beer line gasket.
I'm curious to know if this would fit, with a sanke to call lock adapter, in my converted kegerator. What is the height of this item?

BEST ANSWER: If you have height constraints you can use an elbow adapter such as our low profile elbow bend (D1514). This will help adapt to a ball lock fitting without adding much extra height. From the floor to the very top of the coupler assembly on a Microstar 1/6bbl keg is 26 3/8". Cheers!

Not sure why it just doesn't come with the 1/4" tailpiece on the top
The sanke works great AFTER I had to make a separate purchase. I'm not a home brew, beer-dispenser savant and would love to know why this just doesn't come with the 1/4th" tailpiece, mentioned at the bottom of the item's description.

Luckily the tailpieces $5 at your home brew store or this website.
