My only criticism is that it should include some sort of bumper in the cap, otherwise the thermometer can shift end to end in the shield. I stuffed a piece of plastic in the end so the thermometer can't move around, but it tends to fall out when taking the unit apart for cleaning. Does a good job of protecting my thermometer.
A must have if you own this thermometer. Protects nicely. I did add a small amount of stuffing to the top for a little bit tighter fit. Why would you not have this? I can't imagine ruining an entire batch of beer because I broke my thermometer in it.
Nice shield to protect your thermometer. It will not make it invincible, but it will be a big help keeping it safe.
Tip: The Morebeer thermometer that fits this shield comes with a plastic anti-roll collar that you must remove, but you can stick the collar in with the thermometer and it makes a perfect fit and adds an internal bumper.
