Description

Cork wine bottles with this twin lever wing corker. The wing corker uses a spring mechanism to hold the bottle steady during corking. The mechanism grabs onto the neck of the bottle and holds it tight while the levers are pushed down and the cork is inserted. Simply place a cork in the chamber and lower the handles while applying even pressure. The depth to which the cork is inserted can be changed by adjusting the 2 nuts at the top of the shaft.

  • Adjustable cork height
  • Long handles for better leverage
  • Compact design
  • All metal contrsuction (except grips/handles)

Can I cork belgian beers with this?
Demir O on May 27, 2021
BEST ANSWER: I do. They sent me a different product than this (not adjustable) and told me this product is no longer available but in my experience it works for most because of how soft Belgian corks are. It says you can’t but I haven’t found that to be true and it does pay to leave a little mark with a sharpie on the rod so you know when to stop so you don’t cork it all the way, but with a few practice runs you should be fine.

Wine corker
Works great, less opportunity to tip over your bottles while inserting the cork. However keep your corkes in soak long before you're ready to use. as a dry cork will not be easily be inserted and able to seal.

Could be better
It's a better tool than a simple plunger, but can't compare with a floor-stand corker. It doesn't grip the bottle neck well enough to fully insert the cork easily.

Just get a floor or bench corker
Used this for one batch and bought a floor corker. No instructions. Couldn't set corks consistently even with adjustment. Struggled with #9 corks but also with #8's. Looks sturdy and well made but doesn't grab bottle neck well and slips with use- tried bending the jaws in like one suggestion online and that didn't really help. Had to finish the job with a rubber mallet. Very frustrating experience.

Wing Corker
Worked very nicely. The last corker I used, years ago, was a small hand-held model and this device was far easier to use.

If I have a concern, it would be that the body of the device is plastic, and given the force exerted when seating a cork, it could be subject to wear if used in hard service.
