Commercial plate filter featuring 41 20cm x 20cm plates. Included 110v 1/2hp, stainless motor will pump wine from your container and push it through the filter and into your aging tank or bottle filler.

  • Built-in centrifugal stainess steel pump with on/off switch.

BEST ANSWER: Jackson - It is likely to do with a minimum pressure needed for the unit not to leak and the length of the screw clamp.

Considerable quality control issues
The injection molded parts of this filter show that the molds producing them have either not been properly maintained or are well beyond their end of life. The amount of mold flash and registration slop is considerable. While not completely unusable, this product is far from what I would consider acceptable.
