Good filter for general use
We bought this to brighten up our whites and it does that quite well.

A few points we learned:

The Input to the PMP100 pump needs to have a screen to protect from seeds/skins that will be in your wine. Sanitizing the pump is difficult as it's a low temp wet end, running an aqueous solution will work, but steam is not advised.

A pleated membrane 10-20 um rated pre-filter in 20" cartridge works well to take out the heavy lees out and preserve the life of the pads for the fine filtering.

Its important to get the lead screw sufficiently tight to reduce leakage around the edges, it really needs > 100 ftlbs torque, and benefits from cleaning the threads and lubricating with a good food grade (thread is over the drip pan) such as CIP film. Soaking the pad media in wine and taking care to align the pads will reduce squirting.

Keep track of the rubber washers, which are different thickness on ends vs middle plates, getting them in wrong will result in mis-fits and leaks.
