Easy to Make
The wine kit has easy to follow instructions and the process is simple and easy. It grossly unfair to review the taste of the wine, for two reasons: (1) Individual taste preferences vary and (2) the taste of the wine improves with aging. The only caveat to this is when the wine has an odd taste which is usually due to the winemaker not the wine. I have yet to find a commercial bottle of Mezza Luna wine to compare the wine to. I find it to be an enjoyable wine that will improve with aging.

Best Wine Yet
I've bought many wine kits and this wine kit turned out to be my best wine yet. Granted, I did not completely follow the directions with this kit...but I am impressed with the basic quality of the kit. I added some different things to this kit at certain points and I guarantee that this would win medals! I can't wait to use the 2nd kit I have on hand to recreate the first batch so I can enter it into a competition or two. This is definitely a GREAT kit to have/make!

MoreWine Did not stand behind product.
I bought this kit to make free shipping minimum. I have always purchased my kits locally. After shipping cross country to them and back to me. Something must have tainted the kit. Turned out horrible. I contacted customer service and they told me to call the distributor. I did and they told me they would replace the kit and to have MoreWine ship me another they would replace. MoreWine refused and the distributor shipped to me directly. No more doing business with these guys. The Italian club i belong to has a wine club that purchases quite a bit of supplies. Just going to purchase elsewhere.

Okay, but young grapes, and lacking body and oak flavor
It's a very sweet wine, and I even (unintentionally) fermented it below the instructional specific gravity. While oak chips were included, the wine came out with no oak flavor whatsoever, unfortunately. The grapes here are also very young.

Other than lacking in depth and body, the kit worked great and made a fine table wine.

Easily the best Vintners Reserve
I don't make too many Vintners Reservce kits, usually prefering the Selection line. But this is one that I do make. It is easily the best of the brand and many people think it is a more expensive wine. I'm not sure how it ages long term as I use it more as a table wine but after 6 months it is a richer and smoother wine than any of the other Vintners Reserve kits I have made.

Favorite kit wine
I bet I've made 15 of these Mezza Luna kits. My "go to" house wine. Easy to make, easy to drink. Very big, bold, fruity red. Not dry, not sweet, just perfect. I do try to age mine a year, I think it helps. This line of kits, the Vintner's Reserve, is a great way to make enjoyable, affordable wine. If you have all of the equipment, you can make it for as cheap as $3 a bottle. Can't beat that.

First attempts at home made wine
Instructions are easy to use. Early samples seem to be pretty good. My batch probably won't win any awards, but it is a good way to get your feet wet.
