Steam condenser

Building a steam condenser for my brewzilla and this lid looks like it will fit. The reviews on this lid in general, not from Morebeer have been mixed. Brewing indoors now and want to remove as much moisture from the shed atmosphere as possible .

This may sound like a stupid question, but how did you get the gasket to stay on? I’ve had this lid for 6 months and haven’t used it once since the gasket pops off if I look at it funny.
Joshua Turner on Feb 20, 2022
BEST ANSWER: If you put one side on and then press it in with both thumbs and then slide your thumbs around the entire perimeter of lid. It helps if someone can keep pressures on the place you start from. When it's on, if you clamp the lid onto the brewzilla and leave it clamped for a couple of days that helps keep it in place. Also if you have any keg lubricant or lube for o-rings, that usually helps keep it in place.
What size weldless bulkhead fits the center hole 1.5 or 2 inch?
Curran McCalley on Oct 4, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Hi Curran, so its metric and I have one of the small stills fitted, the shaft is 4.5cm and the screw ring outer diameter is 6cm. I think the 1.5" would be close. Niall

Does not seal
Seal does not stay on no matter what I do. Read the issue in another review and thought that they were just crazy. Thought I finally got it, but noticed there was no activity in the airlock, peeked inside and the gasket was hanging halfway in the beer. Sealed as good as I could with tape. Would work fine for just a lid, but it’s not gonna seal anything. Morebeer sent me a replacement gasket. I might try it, but was soo frustrated with the first one, not sure I can go through that again

Lid leaks, poor seal for still use.
The lid is made with very thin gauge SS and flimsy. The 4 clamps aren’t tight enough to seal lid for use as still. I wonder if 8 clamps would be better. Anyway I used old school backwoods hack, plumbers putty and bricks to tighten and seal the lid down. I was expecting this to happen and luckily I was prepared for emergency fix. However I really like the electric kettle.
Looks pretty good but lid is rather flimsy and with only 4 clamp downs, it leaks badly.
I had to use plumber putty around the lid as well as bricks for “ballast” to provide tight seal.
