Description

Another good all purpose wine yeast used to give complex aromas and flavors, but it really does require proper nutrients to avoid sulfur problems. Especially suited to Chardonnays. Alcohol tolerant to 14%. Ferments from 60 to 80 degrees.

Great product performs better than expected
Have always trusted Red Star yeasts. Was really surprised when making a batch of dandelion wine, the yeast became active within an extremely short time and the must is happily bubbling away! I bought 3 packs so I will be ready for fruit wine time this summer.

Helped finish a RIS
Bought this to finish out a RIS by using it for bottle conditioning. Didn't want to chance the old used up yeast still in the carboy, if there was any. Did exactly as expected. Creamy carbonation for days.

Foolproof
I use this yeast for wines and ciders. I've made starters and I've pitched it directly into the wort/must dry. Both give you a complete and vigorous fermentation. Thus... foolproof.

Great all around yeast!
I literally use this yeast for all of my wines. It gets the job done quick, and the end product is fantastic! So cheap too!

Perfect for Apfelwein
As the other reviews mentioned this makes the perfect apfelwein. 5 gallons of apple juice, corn sugar and a packet of montrachet and you're in business!

The perfect yeast for apfelwein.
If you're buying this yeast for apfelwien, you'll be happy with the $.075 investment. It ferments bone dry and champagne-like in its flavor. I can't wait to try it on a host of other wines. If you're making your first batch of apfelwein, do yourself a favor and pick up a few packs. You can thank me later. ;)
