Description

Everything you need to start seaming 32 oz Crowlers with the Cannular Pro can seamer. This kit includes the Cannular Pro Semi-Auto Canning Machine, 110V Power Supply, Splash Guard Accessory, and Crowler Chuck Adapter. The Cannular Pro is a semi-automatic can seamer that is easy to use, reliable, and beautifully simple.

Please note: the Cannular comes ready for sealing 12 oz and 16 oz cans as standard. The Crowler Chuck Adapter must be installed before seaming 32 oz Crowlers (Ball 300 can/end).

Whether you're a brewery looking to offer canned beer to go or a homebrewer wanting to keep your creations fresh and fully protected from light, the Cannular is the answer. This bench top unit is one of the most compact and easy to use can seamers you'll find. The Cannular only requires one person to operate, and each can takes roughly 3 seconds to seam. With a two-person team, one filling and one seaming, the Cannular becomes a suitable option for nano breweries doing small canning production runs.

The Cannular Pro's table spacer is specially designed to work with all standard 202 cans, including the industry favorite 16 oz (473ml) and 12 oz (355 ml) cans, as well as our 500ml (16.9 oz) and 330ml (11.2 oz) Can Fresh Aluminum Cans. Unlike the manual model that requires a secondary table spacer for use with 330ml cans, the Pro model features an adjustable platform, allowing you to raise or lower the table spacer depending on what size can you're seaming. It is necessary to adjust the table height to ensure you have the appropriate amount of pressure applied when the can lift is raised.

Operation:
The beauty of the Cannular lies in how truly simple it is to operate, and the semi-automatic pro model makes canning beer even easier. With only three points of operation, it only takes a few minutes to familiarize yourself with the machine. The seaming process is as follows:

  • Place lid atop the can and place the can on the table spacer
  • Turn the platform lever clockwise to raise the can to the seamer
  • Press the seaming operation button then wait for the can to stop spinning
  • Turn the platform lever counterclockwise to lower the can

That's all there is to it!

Construction:
The Cannular was designed to be compact, durable, and safe to operate in a wet environment. The platform assembly is made from 304 grade stainless steel, so no matter how messy your canning gets, there's no need to worry about rusting or degradation. The body of the unit is made from hammered sheet metal and fastened together with stainless steel screws. Rubber feet help keep the unit from slipping and sliding while in use. In addition, the Cannular features built-in brackets near the feet so you have the option to mount the machine to your counter or benchtop. The Cannular runs off of 24V DC power via the Anderson socket located on the back. This lower voltage was chosen specifically to make the unit as safe to use in a wet environment as possible.

Kit Includes:

  • Cannular Pro Can Seamer
  • 110V Power Supply
  • Splash Guard
  • Crowler Chuck Adapter

Cannular Pro Specifications:

  • Power: 250W 24V DC
  • Rated Speed: 3300 RPM
  • Gearbox Ratio: 9.8 : 1
  • Dimensions: 16" L x 9.5" W x 21" H
  • Weight: 40 lbs

Please note: When you receive your cannular the rollers have been set and tested at the factory. They should not need adjustment for 100,000 cans. The table, however, comes unadjusted and getting it set up correctly is very important to getting a proper seal. Cannular's test show that a .4mm (.015") actual overlap is all that is needed to seal to 90 PSI. The proper table tension takes a little practice and expect to waste a few cans getting it dialed in. Once you learn the proper tension re-adjusting it is very quick and easy. You want the tension to be tight but not so tight as to dent the can. Use cans at your fill height with water for proper tension adjustment.

What about labels?
John Maitland Priddy on Nov 25, 2022
BEST ANSWER: I use 4” x 6” laserjet labels (Avery 5454), and they work pretty well. They won’t survive an ice tub, but you can design/print whatever you want.

You must get one of these!
I read all the reviews and argued with myself for several months about dropping this much coin on a canning machine instead of buying another fermenter. But, late one Tue night, I pressed the order button. It felt like a weight was lifted off my shoulders. I couldn’t believe I just laid the coin down for a Cannular Pro machine, but I did. So, I kept watching the tracking and couldn’t wait to get my Cannular Pro. Shipping was fast though, like 3 days FedEx showed up with my new toy on Friday afternoon, but I had 3 more hours of work before I could open my boxes.
Finally, when I unboxed it, I found it was double boxed and protected all sides with 2” of semi-hard foam. Awesome packing guys! Then I couldn’t believe how heavy it was and thinking to myself, this is not some toy for us homebrew guys, but an industrial piece of precision machinery. I then upped my game and proceeded to build a side shelf next to my keezer to support my new fine piece of canning equipment. I mean, where else are you gonna can?
After the shelf was completed and the Cannular resting securely on it, I grabbed one of the empty 16oz cans to sacrifice and placed a lid on it to test can lift tension. Gradually, I turned the lifting mechanism and locked it in place. From what I could tell and feel, it was perfect with just the right amount of tension. So, I plugged in the power supply and sanitized the can, then filled it with hard apple cider from a tap and loaded it all back on the Cannular and pressed the magic button to seal it. Guess what? PERFECTION !!!!!! I couldn’t believe it. I did not need to adjust anything. Right out of the box the seeming was perfect. Excitement in my emotions, I then compared it to several pro canned beers and I couldn’t tell the difference, it was identical. Totally and thoroughly impressed by my new ability to can my own beer., I need to can that beer in my fermenter, but I need to wait a few more days.
Canned homebrew beer! So, no more bottle washing and no more capping messes. I’m getting rid of all my bottles now. No need for them anymore.
Guys and gals, save your money. This is the future for home brewers. Get one of these. You won’t be disappointed. And if you think about it, lease it to your local taproom when you are not using it. I’m thrilled to be able to can my own beer now. One of the best investments next to my CF15. Even my wife likes it. :-)

Headache to adjust!
Like it but took to long to adjust sealer rollers.
Spent 4 to 5 hours trying to get Chuck adjusted. Should be a simpler fix for this.

Great machine
I finally had the ability to try it out, only messed up 2 cans on my first attempt, 1 machine error seal, all the rest were seamed with no problems. Ordered some 12oz cans and finally figured out how to make it fit (thank you youtube!), also sealed those without any issues. I wish it came with better instructions, I was able to decypher installation of the splash guard from online videos as well. The splash guard is NOT long enough however, for the 16.9oz cans. The platform is lower than the splash shield, giving me a nice spray of beer on me and around my work surface. The 12oz cans were just fine, but if the splash guard could be lowered, and a chuck was available for the skinny cans (like michelob ultra) it would be absolutely perfect.

Spend the few extra dollars for this one. You won't regret it!
Own the model with the lever, it does an excellent job but this one is far superior. The ease of placing the full can and hitting a button saves time and fatigue. I canned a 5 gallon batch by myself from rack to can in about 40 minutes. I like both of them, but highly recommend this one! Flawless seams right out of the box.

The seamer works great, my only complaint would be, there’s no direction, we had to go on u-tube to figure out how to assemble the splash Guard.
