Description

This stainless steel thermowell is the same one used with many of the hood and stopper thermowells we sell, such as the FE625 and FE624B. It is also a direct replacement for the thermowell used with the BrewBuilt CoolStix™ for Carboy fermenters.

Specifications:

  • 15" long
  • 1/4" inner diameter
  • 5/16" outer diameter
  • Made from 304 stainless steel


Will not work with Johnson Temperature Controllers (FE600 or FE611) because the probes are too large.

How would I connect this therowell to my kegmenter? Can I use the same fitting the fermzilla uses?

BEST ANSWER: You can use that same Duotight bulkhead in your kegmenter. You will have to drill a hole in the lid to install the bulkhead fitting. Alternatively you could install the thermowell in the side of the kegmenter by drilling the hole on the side.
Hello. I want to use this thermowell with my fermzilla fermenter. What size of doutight bulkhead do I have to use?

BEST ANSWER: The DUO104 3/8" bulkhead is a perfect fit for this thermowell and it is what is included in our Fermzilla Thermowell kit.
I want to install a thermowell with 5/16 OD (8 mm - see picture) to my fermzilla fermenter. Is this the right bulkhead for it?

BEST ANSWER: Might work as but its not a true Bulkhead fitting which would have the backing plate and seal with nut.....Instead I'd Go here Canuck home brew supply as they have bulkheads and more... Hope this helps with your project.

It does what it is supposed to do.
I like the ability of being able to drop a temperature probe into it and getting the temperature in the "middle" of the fermenting beer.

15 Inch Thermowell
Thermowell works as expected. Purchased a rubber grommet and drilled/cut a hole in the lid of my fermentation bucket. Inserted temp probe from my InkBird temp controller and now have a very accurate way to monitor fermentation temperature.

Nice thermowell
I love the rounded end. I don't trust the ones with a crimped end. The planned use is in a fermenter and this one should be easy to sanitize. Also it's large enough to accommodate my Inkbird sensor and any of my other sensors.

Fits good
Fit my ITC-308 probe no problem. Also worked in my 2 hole rubber stopper. Wish it was a little longer. Good material. Cheaper to buy alone than in pre-configured with stopper already attached.
