Description

Galena is a classic American hop that has been used in many quintessential craft beers. Galena features great bittering with neutral character. Medium, pleasant hoppiness. Strong, somewhat floral, pleasant aroma. We use this hop quite a bit in an assortment of styles.

Typical usage: High Alpha hop
Aroma: Mild citrus aroma
Alpha acids: 13.0-15.0%
Beta acids: 7.5-8.5%
Cohumulone: 34-39%
Total Oil: 1.3-2.1 ml/100g
Myrcene: 40-50%
Humulene: 11-17%
Country of origin: USA

Hops are packaged in oxygen and light barrier bags.

A very useful bittering hop with faint citrus notes
Worked perfectly as a bittering hop in the cream ale I just brewed. Faint citrus notes make it a good bittering hop for this style. Seemed like good, relatively fresh pellets. Got the job done!
